I know this is not a shock to most anyone at this point, between stresses of managing and various circumstances out of our control, we have slowly fallen out of the position we once were in. We could get back to our stature, however many of the ownership and administrative staff are very tired from months of stressful work while juggling their real-life jobs and responsibilities.

I would like to personally say that this was not a failure of our leadership or our members, I truly appreciate every single one of you guys. Without our amazing leadership, I would not have been able to do half the things I wanted to do in the past, and we definitely wouldn't have been where we are right now. You guys have stuck it out through some difficult times, and I really appreciate every second you spent working at ArcLight, even if I didnt always say it!

To our members, you guys kick ass! Without you guys, we wouldnt even be here, and we definitely wouldn't have been a successful community. You guys are the foundation of this great venture, and I hope that you are all proud of what you helped accomplish! From our veterans to our newest members, you have all dealt with difficulties and still stayed loyal to ArcLight, and for that I say THANK YOU!

I know there are probably some questions, so here are some answers for you!

Yes and No. We are shutting down all of our media as of today, meaning that once all our memberships expire on our server hoster, website, and TeamSpeak, they will not be paid again. Our servers will stay up until approximately December 1st. The leadership of ArcLight constantly communicate, and will continue to after the shutdown. If we decide to re-open ArcLight in a couple of months, we will gladly re-start : ) 

For all of you who have donated. You are what have allowed us to be such a successful community and I appreciate your contribution so much! As of right now, all of our payments have been made and our total leftover money is about $80.00. Unfortunately we cannot give refunds to donations because I would have to pay it out of my own bank account and that would essentially take out of my college fund. I really wish I could, but I am not a trust-fund baby so I cant afford to refund my personal money to each and every one of you : / With that said, the 80.00 leftover isn't enough to pay you all back either, so in the interest of being fair, I will be DONATING all our leftover money to Toys For Tots and the Wounded Warrior Foundation for the holiday season. So now you know that your money has gone to an amazing cause and helped change someone's life. 

Of course! I will be posting a forum thread for everyone to add their Xbox Live, PSN ID, Origin Name, and Steam Accounts, so we can all keep in touch with each other : ) 

Ladies and Gents...This has been an amazing journey, and I have been blessed to experience it with some amazing people. I have made some great friendships with people from all around the world, and that is an irreplaceable experience in my eyes. I have grown to know each one of you guys, and have seen the amazing potential that each one of you posses. Its AMAZING! You all have so much ahead of you, and I hope that you all take the time to really believe in yourselves and develop your interests. 

So for a final word from the great Rick Grimes, I say simply this...never give up! We started out with just one bored college kid and slowly grew into what we are today because of our unwavering persistence. Through it all, we have become a family, and discovered so many new things about ourselves and others. Cherish these experiences, and take them with you into the world as you head off on your own. I know I will.

I'd like to note to you ALL that your IPs are being recorded in these answers. So no, your responses full of curses and such aren't appreciated. Takistan Life is NOT INTENDED TO BE Island Life. It will NOT be as strict RP as Island Life. It is just meant to be less death match than many other servers. We will have rules, just like every other server. If you want to shoot someone for the luls, go play Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Battlefield, ETC.

This weekend is a time to remember and honor our soldiers. Both past, present, and future. Let us not forget that the game we play is more than a game for some.

Now, on to the subject of our Poll. Here are our results as they currently stand:

Takistan Life is winning by 3 votes (one of the "Others" was for Taki).

Now, one of the main reasons we've shied away from Taki is due to the issues it brings. As a whole, Takistan is an extremely death-matchy type of game. It causes lots of headaches for our moderation, and drives the more mature members away. However, the staff and I have been discussing ways to combat this.

For one, we'll have our Island Life still open, so the mature players who want to take it entirely serious will have the opportunity.

Next, Takistan Life will take on an Island life approach to things. Yes, I can FEEL your groans coming through my screen...

* There will be no Opfor, OR Opfor will be PMC

* There will be a reduced number of Independent Slots

* Civilians may declare Terror with proper, role play reasonings ("Because" is not a reason)

* There will be no Jets, Tanks, or vehicles with mounted guns (in discussions)

I'd like your feedback on this, guys. Our goal here is to not only make the mission fun, but to keep our Death Matching, moderation issues, to a minimum.
